Blood Moon Meditation

Embrace the Energy of Renewal 🌕✨

If you found yourself here tonight, you are being called to lay it all down, to surrender, to release what needs to be let go of in your life. Only you know what that is, deep down. What you’ve been avoiding, what you haven’t wanted to acknowledge.

This is the time to commit to the ending of the chapter, and embracing the deep cosmic transformation waiting to happen within yourself, within your life.

I hope you enjoy this meditation surrounding the full lunar eclipse.

The blood moon is a powerful symbol of renewal and spiritual growth, respected by ancient cultures and pagan traditions as a time to shed the old and embrace the new.

Astrologically, it holds unique significance depending on the zodiac, and with this full moon eclipse being in the sign of Virgo, take a look at what house virgo rules.

For myself, as a Capricorn rising, Virgo rules my 9th house. The 9th house is all about travel, education, publishing, religion, astrology and philosophy.

These are the areas where it will most be felt for me during this eclipse time, but take a look at what house Virgo rules for yourself to get a peek into what themes could be coming up around this time. Astrology is just a huge passion of mine, but for a better understanding, my go to girl is Chani Nicholas. I am obsessed with her app CHANI that fully dives into each area of your birth chart.

But back to the honorary guest of the hour, la luna. The blood moon is urging us to explore hidden layers of ourselves and embrace our shadow selves.

To align with this energy, it is so important to take time for self-care, to practice mindfulness, and to explore different divination tools if you feel drawn to it to connect with your inner self and harness the transformative power of this moon.

Below you will find one of my simple, yet powerful go to full moon rituals to accompany the meditation if you want to make a cute lil evening out of it :)

Blood Moon Ritual: Embrace Renewal and Release

This ritual can be done before or after your blood moon meditation to harness its transformative energy. All you need is a quiet space, a candle, and a piece of paper.

What you’ll need:

• A candle (preferably red, white, or black for transformation, renewal, or release)

• A piece of paper and pen

• A fireproof container (for safely burning the paper)

• Optional: Crystals for spiritual connection (such as moonstone, opalite, or clear quartz)

Step 1: Create Your Sacred Space

Find a quiet place where you can sit undisturbed. Light your candle and place it in front of you, allowing its light to symbolize the illumination and clarity of the blood moon.

Step 2: Reflect and Release

Take a few deep breaths to center yourself, and when you feel calm, take the piece of paper and pen. On the paper, write down anything you feel ready to release—habits, fears, limiting beliefs, relationships or situations that no longer serve you. Be honest and let it flow without judgment.

Step 3: Burn Away the Old

Once you’ve written everything down, hold the paper over the flame of the candle and burn it. As it catches fire, visualize the old energy, beliefs, or patterns being transformed into smoke and floating away, leaving you lighter and open for new growth. (Ensure you burn the paper safely, dropping it in the fireproof container so you don’t burn yourself.)

Step 4: Embrace the New

After the paper has burned, take a moment to sit in silence. Close your eyes and reflect on what you want to invite into your life—new opportunities, personal growth, healing, or transformation. You can even repeat a personal affirmation or intention aloud, such as:

“I release what no longer serves me. I welcome new beginnings, growth, and transformation.”

Step 5: Close the Ritual

Sit with the flame for a few moments, feeling the energy of renewal surrounding you. When you’re ready, gently blow out the candle, symbolizing the release of your intentions into the universe.

Keep your ritual space clean and calm, knowing that the blood moon’s energy will continue to support your growth.
